These terms apply when you buy or use a course on this site. Please read them before you buy.
Who we are
Affirm LGBT is a trading name of Qeep Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 13369961. Our registered office is 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.
You can email us at info@affirm.lgbt.
In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Qeep Ltd, and "you" means the person buying or using a course.
The courses
Our courses are online video courses. Some lessons end with a short quiz.
You need an internet connection and an up-to-date web browser. Videos stream; they cannot be downloaded.
You get access to a course once your payment goes through. You keep access to every course you buy, unless it is refunded in full. If we stop selling a course, you still keep access.
We update lessons to keep them accurate and current. When a lesson is out of date, we may replace it or remove it.
When you finish every part of a course, we issue you a certificate. Where a course carries CPD hours, the certificate states them. Once issued, its number, the course, the CPD hours and the date never change. The name printed on it is the name on your account. You give it once, on your dashboard, before your first certificate is issued, and you cannot change it on the site afterwards. If it needs to change, email us at info@affirm.lgbt and we will change it at your request; your certificate then shows the new name. Your dashboard has a link to it while you hold the course.
Buying
Prices are in pounds sterling (GBP) and include any tax due. Qeep Ltd is not registered for VAT.
You need to be signed in to buy. Payment is taken by Stripe, on Stripe's own secure page, so we never see your card details. If you have a promotion code, you can enter it there.
If your organisation wants to buy places for its staff, email us at info@affirm.lgbt. We invoice organisations separately.
Your right to cancel
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content.
You lose that right once your access starts, if you agreed to that before you paid. Before you go to payment, we ask you to tick a box next to this sentence:
I want access to this course straight away. I understand that my access starts as soon as my payment goes through, and that I then lose my 14-day right to cancel.
You cannot go on to payment without ticking it. Your access starts as soon as your payment goes through.
The confirmation email we send after you buy records that you agreed, and when.
If you change your mind before your access starts, or if the law gives you the right to cancel, email us at info@affirm.lgbt within 14 days of buying.
Refunds
If we refund your payment in full, your access to that course ends. If we refund part of it, you keep your access.
If you pay for a course you already have, for example by paying twice in two browser windows, we refund the extra payment in full, automatically. You keep the access you already had.
Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with. To ask about a refund, email us at info@affirm.lgbt.
Your account
You sign in with a link we email to you. Each link works once and expires after 15 minutes. Once you are signed in, you stay signed in on that device for 60 days, or until you sign out.
Anyone who can read your email can use a sign-in link. Keep your email account secure, and do not forward sign-in links to anyone.
Your account is for you alone. Do not share it.
Acceptable use and intellectual property
The courses are for your own learning. You may not record, copy, share or publish the videos, or let anyone else use your account to watch them. Files we offer for download are for your own use.
We own the courses and everything in them, which Affirm LGBT Ltd transferred to us with the rest of the old site, or use them with the permission of the people who do. Buying a course gives you the right to watch it. It does not give you any other rights in it.
Liability
The courses are training. They are not clinical supervision, and they are not advice about any patient or client. Your clinical decisions and your practice remain your own responsibility.
We are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable when you bought the course.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- fraud;
- your statutory rights for digital content: that it is of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, and to a repair or compensation if it damages your device.
Complaints and contact
If something has gone wrong, or you are unhappy with a course, email us at info@affirm.lgbt. Tell us what happened. We aim to reply within 5 working days.
You can also write to us at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. The terms in place when you bought a course are the ones that apply to that purchase.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer and live somewhere else, you keep the protection of the law of the country where you live.
